Mali: Extremely Rare and Antique African Dogon Kambari Sculpture.
Hand carved from a single piece of wood.
Height: 66 cm, and collected in the first half of the 20th century and with Certificate of Authenticity.
Dogon female statue in standing position on a semicircular support. The wood is very eroded and worn. The general condition remains good. The peak capsule has been damaged by time. The pointed collar is important in Kambari figurines. The feet are oversized. The statue is heavy, weighs over 3.5 kg It comes from the Niongono region.
