240510 - Antique Extremely rare African Mambila mask - Cameroon

Extremely Rare Antique African headdress mask from the Mambila, Cameroon.
This type of mask is used in initiation ceremonies.
Hand carved from a single piece of wood, with color pigments.
Long: 50 cm.

This Mambila mask dates from the first half of the 20th century and was purchased in my private collection in 2018, with a certificate of authenticity.

Hand carved from a single piece of wood and about 90 years old or older,
Unfortunately it is damaged, the snout of the left animal is missing a piece
