Beautifully preserved, extremely rare priest's staff belonging to a Coptic priest from one of the cave churches in Lalibela.
This staff is entirely handcrafted and carved from a single piece of olive wood, beautifully crafted with biblical - coptic motifs. The hook on the back was used to drape a Coptic cloth.
This wooden priest staff measures approximately 91 cm high and 10 cm wide with an very nice old patina.
This priest staff is dated eind 19th century and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
